I wanted to take a moment to share how Chuck Burch and his foundation have truly transformed my life.
As someone in my mid-30s, the idea of returning to school to complete my degree—while working full-time in corporate America—felt daunting. I struggled for months, questioning whether it was the right decision and how I would make it work. Then, I learned about The Chuck Burch Foundation through the Dallas Roller Skating Community, where Chuck is not only a pillar but an inspiration.
Attending one of the foundation’s events, I was honored to receive a scholarship. I still remember the wave of emotion when my name was called—an unforgettable moment. That scholarship was more than just financial assistance; it was a reminder that my dreams were still within reach.
Because of Chuck and his foundation, I am finally on the path to becoming the person I’ve always envisioned, with the career and life I once thought were beyond my grasp.
When people speak of Chuck Burch, they speak of life-changing impact, inspiration, and unwavering generosity. He is transforming lives by the hundreds—now, I am one of them. His belief in me has reignited my own belief in myself. Through him, I’ve learned that as long as you have breath in your body, you have options.
There’s no way to fully express in a single letter the profound effect Chuck’s work has had on my life. But what I can say is this: I am wiser, stronger, and more determined because of the relationship I am building with Chuck and his foundation. One day, I hope to pay it forward, impacting lives just as he has impacted mine.
