Hello, my name is Bria Maiden. I am a proud 2023 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s in Art Education at the University of North Texas, furthering my passion for arts, education, and community engagement.
During my undergraduate journey, I was honored to be a recipient of the Chuck Burch Scholarship Fund, an opportunity that had a profound impact on both my academic and personal growth. As a student from Dallas, TX, attending college far from home, the foundation provided not only financial support but also invaluable mentorship and guidance. The Chuck Burch Foundation became a pillar of encouragement, ensuring that I had the resources and community needed to thrive.
Even after graduating, I have remained actively involved with the foundation, continuously inspired by the incredible network of individuals I’ve met along the way. Through this organization, I have been challenged to step into my fullest potential, and I am deeply grateful for the lifelong connections and opportunities it has provided.
As I continue my journey in education and the arts, I carry forward the values of mentorship, service, and perseverance—principles that the Chuck Burch Foundation has instilled in me. I look forward to using my experiences to give back and uplift others, just as this foundation has done for me.
